2017 Baconfest Cooking Contest Judges

BRIAN SUSSMAN ~ KSFO

Sussman started his career at KCBJ-TV in Columbia, Missouri, where he was the nation’s youngest TV News Director.  He then specialized in weather and the environment which led to a post- grad degree in meteorology, and jobs as a TV weatherman in San Jose and San Francisco.

KATIE GREEN ~ KSFO

Born and raised in Castro Valley, Katie took her first steps into the radio world back in 2008, co-hosting the morning show on a local alternative rock station. Green is a huge Giants fan and in her spare time, she’s “DJ Katie” on KOFY TV’s “Dance Party!”

LARRY KRUEGER ~ KNBR

A San Francisco native, Larry had a love for football as a kid.  He worked as a Pro Personnel scout for the Arizona Cardinals, and a defensive coach for the Sacramento Gold Miners of the Canadian Football League.

CHIP FRANKLIN ~ KGO

The Washington Post said of Chip Franklin’s broadcasting skills, “Franklin brings a sense of irony to a medium that rarely trusts the audience to get the joke.” In addition to over 20 years as a radio host, he’s also a comedian, musician, and filmmaker. A winner of over 25 AP awards for broadcasting, 7 Edward R. Murrow awards for radio and television.
